AboutTim Longhurst

Hi there. I'm Tim, the creator of Now Croydon and a born and bred Croydon resident who wants to share the things that make our town a great place to live, work or visit.
Now Croydon has its roots in the former Croydon Radio, the award winning community station I launched in 2012 to shine a positive light on our town.
Now Croydon is a passion project. I spend countless hours each week updating the site and promoting it on social media.
I seek out information myself but also rely on visitor submissions, personal recommendations as well as some nifty automation that tracks over 500 local websites to keep an eye on forthcoming events.
I attend many of the events I list on this site, particularly local history talks, music, theatre, comedy nights, walks and tours and exhibitions.
My mission is to make Now Croydon the best place to discover what Croydon has to offer, with news, jobs, events and other items of interest concerning our borough.
Croydon is not without it's problems and there are plenty of other outlets that have that covered. The local headlines often feature as much bad news as good.
Now Croydon is here to showcase the great variety of activities this town has to offer and to help improve the perception of the place I was born and am proud to call home.

I can assist with graphic design, audio and video production or even provide a voiceover.
I specialise in teaser videos for ebooks, music releases, podcasts and more. Projects such as these help me keep Now Croydon running.
Get in touch if you'd like to work together.
