Banksy in Croydon
An art exhibit by Banksy has popped up overnight on Church street.
The Independent is reporting that a Banksy artwork has appeared in Croydon. If true, this could be massive.
Crowds of Banksy fans have apparently assembled on Church street - opposite the entrance to Surrey Street market - to enjoy this unexpected display of work, suspected to be by the elusive artist.
The stab jack worn by Croydon's own Stormzy has been spotted behind the glass. That might explain why the artist has chosen to settle on Croydon today. Stormzy wore the Banksy designed garment at his headline performance at this summers Glasto.
The pop up display is unlikely to remain in situ for long, so get there as soon as you can to enjoy the spectacle.
UPDATE:We were amongst the first to pick up on this news at 10am today and, as predicted, it's gone nuclear. Banksy has now confirmed the work as his.
