I spy Fairfield events on the horizon
Tickets for shows at Croydon's Fairfield Halls have started to appear on events site The List.
Details are sparse but Jimmy Carr is one of a few comics scheduled to appear from October 2019.
The listing seems a fairly inauspicious announcement for gigs at what we are told will be a major new entertainment venue for South London. Nothing at all is mentioned on Fairfield's own website.
Truth be told, the Fairfield Halls website lacks very little information whatsoever and certainly nothing about opening dates or who we can expect to appear. Surely this is where news of forthcoming shows and tickets should be appearing and not third party ticketing sites?
Update December 22
InsideCroydon has run a piece today on the Fairfield story, spotting tickets on other sites including that of BHLive, the company charged with running the new venue when it eventually reopens.
It's noteworthy as BHLive had previously said a special announcement would be coming in the new year, along with a relaunch of the Fairfield website. The fact that tickets are already being promoted elsewhere isn't particularly inspiring. Does this signify yet more delays with the Fairfield website as well as with the venue itself?
