The demolition of the Whitgift and Centrale shopping centres are already many years behind schedule. Only recently, it was revealed the planned works for later this year have been put back to 2020.
Could this newest turn of events mean it being put back further or abandoned altogether? As usual, this is a story to watch...
2pm UPDATE: Yep, this story has now been picked up by other Croydon outlets since we first tweeted it. Most seem to be viewing it with pessimism.
