It's just a week or so until the official start of Summer and naturally, we're about to enter the festival season.
Croydon and our neighbouring boroughs have a wide range of outdoor activities taking place in the next few weeks.
This weekend sees Bamstock at Wandle Park. As well as the music performances and live events, check out the Made in Croydon stalls where you can discover some beautiful gifts and treasures made in our town and that celebrate the local area.
A little way across the border into Sutton, check out the Wallington Music Festival. Live music will be in abundance at three venues but you'll also find activities for kids, craft stalls, demos, tasters and more. And in neighbouring Merton, it's the Mitcham Carnival.
The Penge Festival has been underway since the start of June and this weekend sees guided walks and tours, beer tasting and the popular Tour de Penge bike riding event.
Next weekend, 22-23 June, sees the return of the Streatham Food Festival, the Windrush Celebrations and Chislehurst Rocks!
On Sunday 23 June in South Croydon, the high street will closed to make way for the annual Croydon Food and Music Festival with an overflow music stage at Hoodos Frontroom space in St George's Walk.
Saturday 29 June sees the Warlingham Annual Sausage and Cider Festival. Sunday 30 June is the culmination of the South Norwood Community Festival with Party in the Park.
And finally, back to the centre of Croydon at Wandle Park on Saturday 13 July for Croydon Pride Festival and Sunday 14 July for this year's Croydon Mela.
These are just a few of the events and activities taking place locally to kick of the new season. There are plenty more we could mention. It's gonna be a great summer!
