Callout for Stanley Stories Community Festival
Award-winning theatre company Zoo Co are on the look out for local people to perform at their Open Mic night at the Stanley Stories Community Festival in July.
In anticipation of Stanley Arts' 120th anniversary, join Zoo Co to celebrate the people, past and present, who have shaped South Norwood. Bring your memories, connect with the community and discover local history.
The theme for the event is ‘identity and heritage’, your personal stories, experiences and memories.
Zoo Co are particularly interested in original work stemming from your personal stories, experiences and memories, whether that’s a song, poetry, scene or storytelling - it’s up to you! There is no age limit or previous experience needed.
Individual and group performances are welcome with sets of 20 minutes or under. Solo acts should be less than 10 minutes.
You’ll receive £20 for sharing your story in whatever form you choose.
For groups who may want to perform for longer sets, include this information on the sign-up form and Zoo Co will be in touch.
Event Location: Yard Bar, Stanley Arts, South Norwood.
Date and time: 2nd July 6 pm - 8 pm
Performers are able to arrive from 5 pm onwards to set up/prepare.
