Day of the Dog - Celebration For Dogs

Dog Furiendly, a digital community for dog owners, have teamed up with Mr Fox, Croydon, to bring an immersive Day of the Dead style fiesta, to celebrate the life of dogs past and present.

The London event called 'Day of the Dog' takes place in Mr Fox, Croydon on Saturday the 2nd of November from 1:00pm.

Dog owners can enjoy live music from the Mariachi Amigos and free face painting while the pampered pooches can look forward to piñatas filled with treats and goody bags from

Dog Furiendly will also host a mini dog show, searching for the Most Handsome Chico and Prettiest Chica, with prizes from local dog businesses.

Originating from Mexico, the Day of the Dead (Día de Los Muertos) is a colourful and joyous festival, to celebrate life and show love and respect for deceased family members. Although traditionally known for remembering humans, many people use this time to remember their furry friends too.

A memorial (traditionally known as an altar) will be available on the night for people to make contributions and to share photos of their deceased dogs.

Dog owners will be invited to bring along their dogs favourite food, treats and toys which will be donated to the Guide Dogs after the event.
