Call for volunteer researchers to help celebrate Croydon's Caribbean influencers

The Museum of Croydon is collaborating with the National Portrait Gallery to delve into our archives.

We're looking for local people to help research and develop a display celebrating the British Caribbean communities and significant individuals who have influenced modern Croydon. 

Get in touch if you are: 

  • Interested in experiences of Caribbean culture and communities.
  • Live in Croydon
  • Keen to do research or have experience of research
  • Can attend workshops at the Museum of Croydon
  • Can commit time to the project (Selected weekends Oct-Dec 2022) 

What you get:

Expectations: 

  • Attend training workshops
  • Participate in group work and share experiences and thoughts with others
  • Commit to approximately 4 days
  • Take responsibility for tasks allocated to you
